Wait for Me
(c) 2010 Words and Music by Mars Hollow
Day by day I'm losing all my faith,
The spirit in my body fades away,
And one by one, the days without the sun,
Are keeping me from loving anyone,
All my faith it fades away...
Day by day I'm losing all my faith,
The spirit in my body fades away,
And one by one, the days without the sun,
Are keeping me from loving anyone,
All my faith it fades away,
No more sun from up above,
Wait for me, wait for me, wait for me,
Won't you wait for me?
I'll never find someone like you,
Never a brighter light for two,
Where is the sunshine I once knew,
Shine down and warm the darkest blue,
No more fears tomorrow,
No more tears and sorrow,
'Cause I know spring will follow,
If you will wait for me.
I'll never find someone like you,
Never a brighter light for two,
Where is the sunshine I once knew,
Shine down and warm the darkest blue,
No more fears tomorrow,
No more tears and sorrow,
'Cause I know spring will follow,
If you will wait for me,
If you will wait for me,
If you will wait for me,
If you will wait for me.
This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all.
After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie
This US-American band, which owes its contradictory name to a photomontage created by George Logan, is usually compared to "Rush"... well, no, I don't agree... While there are undoubtedly some typical "Rush" chords and sounds, I think the music has much more in common with 80's neo-prog bands like IQ. And just like the latter, those imaginary Scottish elephants don't lose much time with silly riffs and interludes, but get straight to the point in their songs, with much attention to detail. Sven B.
